It was an honour to be part of the organising committee for BESS 2022 at Liverpool. I was involved in planning of the conference, participation in the Instructional Course Lecture, participating in panel discussions, chairing free paper sessions, hosting workshops, sharing experience via invited talks and judging scientific presentations during the 4 day event.
I have been the convenor for the Wrightington Shoulder Course since 2014. This course is now one of the most popular shoulder surgery and rehabilitation course in the country. It is my privilege to host a galaxy of national and international experts for this course for specialist surgeons and physiotherapists. I am delighted that this is one of the most successful and often oversubscribed
shoulder courses in the country.
I am honoured to host visitations from shoulder surgeons from across the country and abroad and share my experience of shoulder surgery with them.
I have also had the opportunity to co-host the international shoulder arthroplasty tour on a few occasions with surgeons from across the world coming to Wrightington for observing live surgery. We have co-hosted this prestigious event with select centres in Europe.
The Wrightington FRCS Course is a legacy course running for nearly 20 years. This has run as a hand course for over 10 years, and I was fortunate to get an opportunity to expand this to an Upper Limb course with the addition of the shoulder session in 2012. This course is run 3 times a year and I have been the co-convenor for multiple sessions of this course from 2012 to 2020.
I was a co-host for the Wrightington Upper Limb Reconstruction Course May 2016.
I have also been a convenor for many educational meetings for GPs, Physiotherapists, researchers and trainees over the years.
